What is a good app or site for gay cruising?

Does anyone have recommendations for apps similar to Grindr? I've tried a few, but they all seem to have low activity in my area (a small city in South Carolina).

My experience with Sniffies has been inconsistent. Local bathhouses and bars work for spontaneous meetups, but I'm also hoping to find more friends-with-benefits connections. Any suggestions?
 
Doublelist is decent - I've met a few guys on there, but they've made it harder to view pictures without paying. It also moderates heavily, flagging language it considers too explicit.

In a way, that could be an advantage. Because it’s not a pure cruising app, it can be a better place to actually chat first or to clearly state you're looking for a FWB setup.

It really depends on the location. I’ve only gone cruising in a well-known area, and I made sure to go with a friend so any issues could be handled easily. In my experience, it can be fun, but it’s definitely hit or miss, and there’s often a lot of wandering around.

Having sex anonymously is usually much easier in cruise bars, but there’s something exciting about outdoor sex, so it definitely has its place.
