A fun and slightly chaotic story centered around an older sister and her unusually confident younger brother. What starts as an ordinary family situation quickly turns into a series of awkward misunderstandings, unexpected encounters, and plenty of comedy. If you enjoy anime-style slice-of-life stories with teasing, exaggerated reactions, and a bit of drama, this one is worth checking out.

Uchi no Otouto Maji de Dekain Dakedo Mi ni Konai - Alternate Story

I always thought having a younger brother would be pretty normal.

At least, that's what I believed before living with mine.

From the moment he came back home, everything became chaotic. He was loud, ridiculously confident, and somehow managed to turn even the simplest family dinner into a dramatic event.

"Nee-chan! I'm home!"

"You don't have to announce it like you're entering a tournament!"

"That's because my return deserves an entrance!"

I couldn't help but sigh.

He hadn't changed at all.

But as the weeks passed, I started noticing something strange.

He was avoiding me.

Whenever I entered the room, he suddenly found something else to do. Whenever I tried talking to him, he gave short answers before disappearing.

At first, I assumed he was simply being annoying.

Then one evening, I found him sitting alone outside.

"You've been acting weird lately."

He looked away.

"I'm fine."

"You're obviously not fine."

There was a long silence.

Finally, he admitted that he had been struggling with school, friends, and the pressure of trying to figure out what he wanted to do with his future.

For once, there was no joke.

No exaggerated confidence.

Just my little brother sitting there, wondering whether he was good enough.

I sat beside him.

"You know you don't have to pretend everything is okay, right?"

He looked at me in surprise.

"You really think so?"

"Of course. You're annoying, but you're still my brother."

He laughed.

"Wow. That's the nicest thing you've ever said."

"Don't get used to it."

From that day forward, things slowly changed.

He started opening up more. I started understanding him better. We still argued constantly, but the arguments felt different now.

They weren't about trying to push each other away.

They were simply the arguments of two siblings who knew they would always have each other's backs.

Years later, when he finally achieved the dream he had once been afraid to talk about, he came home holding his acceptance letter.

"I did it."

I smiled.

"I knew you would."

He grinned.

"Of course you did."

Looking back, I realized something.

Maybe having a younger brother wasn't always easy.

Maybe he was loud, stubborn, and completely impossible sometimes.

But family isn't supposed to be perfect.

Sometimes, it's simply about being there when someone needs you—even when they are too proud to ask.

And no matter how much we argued, I knew one thing would never change.

He was my little brother.

And I would always be there for him.
